[ call or text Reim within! I was going to set up a voicemail inbox message but then I realized no one is ever going to hear it unless he’s unconscious or dead. it doesn’t matter if you call at 3am he’ll pick up. ]
[ closes his bedroom door and steers him to the bathroom, briefly taking off his glasses to clean them along the way ]
Would you rather have me fix it up from the way it is now, or take off your shirt and waistcoat and start from the beginning? I can spot the worst of it out from the sink, or we can steam the whole thing with the shower. You'll have to lay it over the dresser and press it flat to dry for a few minutes before putting it back on, the second way.
Yeah. 'Cause Vincent was being annoying and beating him up wore me out.
[It does not even occur to him that he went on yesterday about wanting Reim to stop treating him like a superior and now he is treating Reim like a servant. He's not trying to, it just kinda happens!! Which is to say, he grouchily pulls his waistcoat and shirt off and flops them in Reim's arms.
This also means Reim gets to see the monster effect Elliot has not mentioned to anyone yet! It's... stone. Flagstone-like patches of skin, regularly spaced as if deliberately constructed, starting at the front of his shoulders and curving over them to trail down his spine, getting more spaced out as they go. Luckily, they're easy to hide when you dress like you're from 1850.
He is very obviously trying not to draw attention to it but they're kinda there.]
Show me what you're doing while you do it. I don't want to have to bother you with the laundry all the time.
[ he definitely can’t hide the way he briefly startles, but it is brief. he is getting used to the monster stuff. it’s not as bad as Break’s, ]
Very well, but this is more of a trick I learned to use while traveling. I’ll instruct you on proper ironing later today, if you have the time.
[ arranges the shirt and waistcoat so they hang neatly from the curtain rod, out of the path of the shower spray, and then steps past him to close the door ]
Just hang them neatly to keep from creating extra creases, then leave them to steam for ten minutes. It would be better if we had hangers on hand- you should keep these hung up whenever you aren’t wearing them, too. There are plenty in the costume shop.
[ GOES TO GET THE FOOD. he can balance two plates on one arm and close the door behind him on his way back in. hands one to Elliot, along with a knife and fork. Idk what he made maybe like an omelet ]
Here you are. Apologies for my inexperienced cooking.
That's so-- ridiculously costly and wasteful, not to mention incredibly disrespectful to the craftsmanship-!! Is this really what our future holds in store?! Who said such a thing??!

Re: Day 10, morning
It won't look right if we don't do it right...
[So he'll just. Have to start over. W/e.]
Re: Day 10, morning
[ turns on the shower to start heating up the water and then holds his arms out instinctively for Elliot's clothes ]
You look like you managed to get some rest.

Re: Day 10, morning
Okay. And... Yeah, I guess I'm not doing anything today.
[He says, because he hasn't actually gone outside and seen the library yet.]
Re: Day 10, morning
Another pathway to a new area has shown up, but I haven’t gone to see where it leads just yet.
I’m glad you have him here with you.
[ Vincent, that is ]
Re: Day 10, morning
[Oh, right. That's probably who he means.]
...Me too.
[It makes him feel much less alone. But he doesn't want to think about feelings right now, so--]
You wanna go check out the new thing?
Re: Day 10, morning
Re: Day 10, morning
[Food. He could go for a lot of food.]
Good, 'cause I'm starving.
Re: Day 10, morning
Let me fetch it for us now. You can wait in the bedroom if you prefer.
[ just assuming you're not going out shirtless ]
Re: Day 10, morning
[A correct assumption. That would be both rude and embarrassing.]
Re: Day 10, morning
The steam needs to stay trapped inside, so don't go back in.
[ and heading for his bedroom door to go get the food ]
Re: Day 10, morning
[Elliot stands very deliberately out of sight from outside the door. The rocks must remain a secret.]
Re: Day 10, morning

Re: Day 10, morning
Ehh, you're not a chef but your food's a lot better than the stuff out of boxes! I'm just lucky you're feeding me.
['Cause he's been eating a ton of snacks while making faces about the quality because monster metabolism.]
Re: Day 10, morning
[ sitting on the floor to also eat ]
Re: Day 10, morning
[He has been called old fashioned by someone so ofc he's taken it as some kind of challenge.]
